Another Wednesday has rolled around

This time next Wednesday, I'll be eagerly looking forward to 5pm, and the start of my mini-vacation. I'm not planning on going anywhere other than a party my oldest brother it throwing on the 24th, and I'm looking forward to lounging around, I hope in warm weather, and just relaxing and reading.

I think I've already read the book I'm currently reading, Stealing Shadows by Kay Hooper. It's not that I really remember it, but it keeps setting off deja vu-ish 'pings' in my brain. So, it's like a book I've never read, except not. Weird.

I thought last night was the finale for NCIS, but it wasn't. So, next week in the finale. Last night was the finale for Fringe and I'm ready for season two now!

Minus one plus four equals...

So, how does it happen that my pile 'o books keeps growing, you may ask? Well, it happens when I take one book back to the library and walk out with four more. *facepalm*

I really was planning on picking up only one to replace the book I was bringing back. Logical, yes? Keep the pile at an even three books out at a time. On Monday, I then would probably have to replace two, but the third would most likely still be unfinished, so no lag time. And I wouldn't have to worry about keeping track of a great pile of borrowed books.

Alas, however, I roamed. Roaming in the library for me is like roaming through a pastry shop with free samples everywhere. I can't keep my hands to myself. And so now instead of my reasonable three borrowed books, I have six.

Oh, well, none of the new ones are especially long, so I should easily have all six books read long before they're due back.

On the 20th however, it's going to be a library feeding frenzy as I'm taking Thursday and Friday prior to the Memorial Day weekend off, and I plan on many days of reading and napping. Perfect vacation! :-D But that means, I'll need to take my canvas book bag with me after work and fill it up. What to choose? What to choose?
